BRIEF HISTORY OF MBC

Maranatha Baptist Church Ungwan Baro was founded in June 18, 1992 with five members by Nazareth Baptist Church Ungwan Baro Kaduna.

This section started as English section Baptist church Ungwan Baro. Before the establishment of the section, the church had been conducting a class of English Sunday School, which started in 1986 with Bro. B.D Galadima as a teacher assisted by Mr. Bawa Arege. The Sunday School Class was approved by Rev. Ishaku Amuwe who was the church pastor then to assist the student in the church that constituted Baptist student fellowship (B.S.F) to have a better understanding of Christians Religious Knowledge (CRK) taught in their schools and for the benefit of those who do not understand Hausa Language.

This singular decision brings about a tremendous achievement which led to the agitation for the establishment of an English speaking worship section. - Rev. Wasa
